How to Customise Discord Badges

Windows Computers Only

1. Choose your color scheme. Once you're done, click download to download the icons into a folder of your choice.

   Text Color
   

    Download

   You'll need to grant us permission to write to that folder.

   
   
   
   
2. Close Discord, if it's open.
   
   
3. Copy/Paste the icons from the selected folder into the %appdata%\discord folder.
   
   Backup

   It is advised to make a backup of the current icons (all the badge.ico files) into a new folder such as badge_backup.
   
   
4. Reload the  Windows Icon Cache

   In order for your cool new badges to be displayed in the taskbar, we'll need quickly stop Windows Explorer whilst we clear the icon cache in order for our changes to take effect.

   
   Run the following commands in an  Administrator   Command Prompt/Powershell terminal
   C:\Windows\System32> taskkill /IM explorer.exe /F

   C:\Windows\System32> cd %homepath%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Explorer

   C:\Users\...\AppData\Local> del iconcache*

   C:\Users\...\AppData\Local> explorer.exe
   
   
5. Restart Discord .
